因为18世纪开始为西方为首的小岛国英国进行全世界掠夺,扩张,侵略,它们的文化植入了其他国家.
而英语又有一个优点,就是相对其他欧洲语言简单易懂,且符合人的思维,因此尽管法语比英语更完美,但是通俗易学的英语却逐步替代了法语在欧洲的地位.
从18世纪到今天,欧美由于掠夺,扩张,殖民的沉淀,科技,文化发展一直领先世界其他国家,特别是美国,和英英国.包括联合国,实际上也是由美英等国家控制着.
这就造成英语成了当今的国际语言.并且不断发展.
至于谁是第一个懂英语的这就很难考证了,历史上说是明末的时候,那个时候,明朝为了打清军,从欧洲购买大量“样大炮”.
题外话,中文代替英语的地位成为世界语言的可能性比较小,作为世界语言必须满足至少两个前提条件：1.符合人的思维习惯,2.简单易懂.
汉语符合第一个条件,但是不符合第二个条件.而即使不懂英语语法和语言结构,只要说出去几个单词,也能表达意思.

Secondly, at some serious occasion, we need to use English. At some important meeting or some important books they all use English. If we don’t know English, it is difficult to communicate with other people.
So whatever you do in the future, English will always be very important in the twenty first century. There is a saying, practice makes perfects. Hope students can that English seriously and always practise your English. There is a saying, practice makes perfects.
