In beijing, there is always traffic jam especially on the way to the Summer Palace. so the best way to go to the Summer Palace is taking the subway. you can tranfer to the line four subway and get off at the "beigongmen stop". it is one of the sidegate of the Summer palace. when you go out of the station, you can make it if you pay attention to the street sign.it is only less than 500 metres.
