另外这里也不可能是didn't,压根儿就没有"如果是didn't" 这一说法.
因为你前面是didn't 的话,那后面的leave和try都得是过去式,而just left it and tried a different one虽然语法正确,却逻辑不通,思维正常的英语人士是不会这么说话的.
